Sunrisers are excited to announce the Development Eleven and Academy fixtures for the 2024 season, with the summer schedule set to get underway in April.
The Academy squad will take part in the regional Academy Festival, which this year is being held at Oakham School in the East Midlands, alongside a schedule which will see them face every other regional Academy side, in a mixture of multi-day, fifty over, and T20 formats. All venues are currently yet to be confirmed.
At the end of August, Sunrisers Academy will host the West Indies U19 side in what promises to be an exciting opportunity for everyone involved.
Like last year, there will also be a number of Development Eleven fixtures played throughout the summer. These games will give opportunities to players pushing for First Team selection in the short and medium term, selecting a side from players within the First Team squad, Academy, and those performing for Women’s County sides across the region.
The Development Eleven will play fifty over games against Western Storm, South East Stars, and Southern Vipers, whilst also competing in a T20 competition. They will compete against the same opposition in the shorter format, with the hope of progressing from the group stages and into the final of a new development competition.
