Sunrisers are delighted to announce that Nic Hancock has extended her spell with the team, and will feature for Sunrisers in the upcoming Charlotte Edwards Cup.

Unfortunately Dané van Niekerk will not be able to rejoin the squad for the T20 competition as planned, due to personal reasons. We wish her all the best, and look forward to welcoming Dané for the next round of Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy matches at the end of June.

Hancock joined the team at the start of the 2024 season and has been in excellent form with the ball, claiming three wicket hauls on four occasions in just six games. She is top of the RHFT wicket taking standings for the season with 14 scalps.

The seam bowler has a wealth of experience in the short format, and she is a regular feature for Brisbane Heat with the new ball in the WBBL, so we’re very excited to see the impact that she is able to have in the competition.

Sunrisers’ Charlotte Edwards Cup campaign gets underway on Sunday 19 May with a trip to Worcestershire’s New Road, before returning home to Chelmsford under the lights on Friday 24 May.

Hancock will also feature for the side in two Thursday double-headers at Lord’s, alongside a double-header at Northampton on Sunday 2 June. You can purchase tickets for all upcoming games on our website.
