SQUAD AND PREVIEW | SUNRISERS v SPARKS (22 JULY) & STORM (24 JULY)

A squad of fourteen has been named to travel for our two Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy games this weekend, starting with a trip to Worcestershire’s New Road to face Central Sparks on Saturday, before visiting Cheltenham College to face Western Storm on Monday.

These two matches will be the final games before the fifty over season breaks for the Hundred, with the four remaining fixtures to be played in September.

Eva Gray has had another week in training to overcome the injury that has kept her out of action in the last few games, so will be hoping to return over the weekend. Abtaha Maqsood also returns from Scotland duty, where she captained her country for the first time, and will be looking to add to the nine wickets she has so far in the competition. Jo Gardner remains sidelined with her hand injury sustained towards the end of the T20 campaign.

Our home game last week, against Thunder in Northampton, was rained off without the chance of a ball being bowled, which meant that we took two points away with us.

Central Sparks have been in a brilliant run of form, winning all three of their completed games of this July block of RHFT fixtures. Their latest victory, against Northern Diamonds, saw them chase a reduced DLS target of 164 from nineteen overs.

You can buy tickets for Saturday’s game here, priced at £5 for adults and free for under 18s.

Western Storm have struggled so far this season, claiming just the one win in the competition so far. This came back in April, when they beat Thunder by six wickets. They face South East Stars in Beckenham tomorrow.

You can buy tickets for Monday’s game online here. Tickets cost £10 for adults, and £5 for under 18s.

We wish a safe journey to those who are making the journey to join us over the weekend. Alternatively, you can tune into the Live Stream, which will be on our hosts’ YouTube channels and in the Match Centre on the day.
