STAFF ANNOUNCEMENT - SUNRISERS APPOINT TALENT MANAGERS

Sunrisers are delighted to announce that they have recruited two new Talent Managers to join their team.

Luke Pomfret and Cain Hamilton-Boyle have been appointed as Senior Regional Talent Manager and Emerging Player Talent Manager respectively. Both started their roles on 1st October and have since commenced the observation process for the regions Academy and Emerging Player programmes.

Luke joins Sunrisers from Northamptonshire CCC, where he was a Pathway Performance Coach, assistant Women’s 1st XI coach and Academy coach. Luke has also worked as a Women and girls’ pathway scout for ECB, a support coach for Loughborough Lightening and with Chance to Shine in Lancashire. Luke has been involved in the progression of Women and Girls’ cricket from a young age, earning a Chancellor’s Scholarship from his university for his work in the community and commitment to promoting the participation of women in cricket.

Cain was named ECB Young Coach of the Year in 2019 for his work with the Bedfordshire and Huntingdon girls’ county age group. He has joined the Sunrisers from Cricket East, where he was a Performance and Community Coach. Cain has worked within the Bedfordshire CCC girls county age group program and performance pathway, as well as having previous coaching experience with Chance to Shine.

Danni Warren, Regional Director of Women’s Cricket for Sunrisers, said “Bringing Luke and Cain onboard is key in our development, and delivery, of a clear performance pathway across the region. To have two talent developers with their passion and experience of the local landscape is a huge asset to us. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with both Luke and Cain since they started at the beginning of October and cannot wait to see the positive impact that will have on women and girls across our region.”
