Sunrisers, along with Essex Cricket, announce their partnership with Rebel Strength.
Sunrisers are excited to announce a leading partnership with Essex based company Rebel Strength. Rebel Strength designs, manufactures and supplies high-quality gym, fitness and strength equipment to suit all needs and abilities. The partnership cements Sunrisers commitment to providing elite female cricketers with the highest level of health and fitness support, influencing their development as athletes.
The partnership provides a platform for all parties to promote healthy, sustainable, lifestyles and the benefits of strength training.
The first stage of the partnership saw Rebel Strength design and kit out a brand new performance gym at Billericay CC, the summer training home of Sunrisers. This project saw the transformation of an area previously used for storage into a professional, cutting edge training facility. The brand new gym will be used by Sunrisers, Essex Cricket and Billericay CC, the latter being assisted in rolling out strength training as part of their club programme by Sunrisers S&C staff.
Rebel Strength and Sunrisers worked together to turn a space like above in to a professional training environment as below
Phase two of the partnership plans to see the creation of an ambassador & mentoring scheme, enabling Sunrisers and Rebel Strength to encourage further female participation in strength training. To further support this ambition, unique promotional opportunities will be developed for Sunrisers partners to purchase Rebel Strength equipment.
Speaking of the launch of the partnership Richard Evans, Rebel Strength General Manager commented:
“Rebel Strength are delighted to be working with Sunrisers, Essex Cricket and their regional partners. We look forward to supporting their programmes in providing both female and male cricketers with high quality strength & conditioning equipment – all of which is manufactured in the UK.
As part of our partnership we are also very excited to be working together in launching a number of initiatives to help promote female health and the value of strength training for all.”
Sunrisers Regional Director of Women’s Cricket, Danni Warren, spoke of the success already achieved through the partnership:
“ It is always exciting to meet an organisation that shares so many values of your own, by working with Rebel Strength I am looking forward to bringing together two local organisations with the shared vision of increasing female involvement in sport and exercise.
The Rebel Strength equipment is of the highest quality, something which our players have already enjoyed and will benefit hugely from over the coming years. Many people have contributed to the success of this first project, I would like to thank Essex Cricket and Billericay CC for their work and expertise along the way”
