Purpose of the Job: As the regional Women’s Elite Domestic structure evolves, Sunrisers are committed to providing high performance environments for their athletes. As part of a developing Sports Science & Sports Medicine (SSSM) team the Sports Therapist & Player Development Coach will play a key role in injury treatment and management, whilst embedding fundamental movement skills in players across the pathway. Working in collaboration with Sunrisers Lead Physiotherapist & Sunrisers Strength & Conditioning Lead, this role will develop and deliver programmes for players at Emerging Player Programme level and assist delivery at Academy and Senior level.

Principle Responsibilities:
· Design and lead the delivery of physical preparation for Sunrisers Emerging Player Programme.
· Support players with injury triage, treatment and rehabilitation for players at Emerging Player Programme level.
· Design and implement education programmes that support athlete development for players selected for Sunrisers Emerging Player Programme.
· Working with Sunrisers Lead Physiotherapist support ongoing player monitoring at Emerging Player Programme level, including workload management, and any other relevant physical and/or mental parameters.
· Work with coaches and support staff to deliver an interdisciplinary approach to performance development.
· Within the rules of professional confidentiality liaise with players, parents, coaches, delivery staff and Regional Director of Women’s Cricket.
· Undertake appropriate professional development to keep abreast of world’s best practice and current evidence-based research.
The role may require extended hours and regular travel throughout the UK during the competitive season (April-September) which will include working on weekends and Bank Holidays.

Qualifications and Key Competencies:
Essential:
Sports Therapist or Physiotherapist degree
Appropriate professional indemnity insurance
Up to date first aid qualification
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Certificate – A disclosure is an impartial and confidential document that details and individual’s criminal record and where appropriate gives details of those who are barred from working with children
Full Driving License
Desirable:
Sports science/ S&C experience
Experience working with female adolescent athletes
Experience working in cricket
